VALENTINO, a long and beatiful collaboration…

Nearly six years of collaboration with one of the most famous fashion houses in the world. It all started when I found myself in the Milan showroom in Via Turati for the first time. Then the look book was made of a quantity of polaroid of the various accessories and clothes attached to the pre-printed cards. I made my proposal to those who were at the helm of the accessories division, those who today are the undisputed leaders in fashion industry: Pier Paolo Piccioli at the guide of the Valentino maison, Maria Grazia Chiuri that nowtime, in 2019, is the first female artistic director at Dior. We have worked together for years, with them and all the staff of the accessories division. We did shooting in Rome, mainly in Milan and in the last years in Paris, working at night, always after the traditional fashion show at Carrosuel du Louvre. An unforgettable experience! The work consisted in the creation of four look books a year, autumn/winter and spring/summer, women and men accessories. Hundreds of photos taken in medium format 6 × 6 Hasselblad, selection, scanning, post-production, composition and stochastic printing. Here some pictures from the lookbooks.
